“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.” — Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Some things are too heavy to keep holding alone.
As the year turns toward its darkest season we gather at the edge of the ocean to make space for what weighs on us. Into the Fire is an evening to name what we carry and let the flames help us loosen our grip.
Bring the grief and fear that wakes you at night, the anxiety that hums beneath your days, the sorrow you haven’t had words for. You don’t need to explain it or make it make sense. You only need to bring it.
All are welcome. You may speak, or you may simply be held in silence. Both are sacred here.
What to bring: warm layers, a blanket or low beach chair, a flashlight or headlamp, and, if you wish, a small natural object or a written note to offer to the fire.
